Unlike a wooden ramp, the one that is made of metal has a very low maintenance cost, where as the wooden one needs a regular and constant maintenance. The metal one just requires a very few hand tools but the one made of wood requires a contractor as well a lot of wood working tools. The one made of wood requires yearly treatment, be it painting or other constant repairs. Another advantage of the metal ramps over the wooden one is that it can be re-used at different places and can also be sold off when not required.
